Simple Makeup Tutorial ft Designer Brand Makeup + Review

Hey guys!

Today's post is a bit of a different post for me, as I'm going to show you how to create a Simple Everyday Makeup Look with a bold lipstick!

I was lucky enough to receive some makeup products from Designer Brands Cosmetics and thought I would only use these products to put them to the test as they are very affordable and easy to find in stores!

So lets get started!!

So I'm starting with a clean, moisturised face before I apply any makeup!

I'm then going in with their Blur Primer, which is a smooth slightly thick primer that feels in the pores. I actually quite liked this primer. It felt really nice on the skin and did a great job at evening out my face before i went in with foundation.

The foundation that I used was the Age Revive Foundation. Firstly, this foundation was the complete wrong shade for me (you can't really tell in photos as the flash washes it out a bit). However, i actually really loved the coverage and finish of this foundation. I have quite large pores around my nose area and once the foundation and primer was on I could not see any of the pores around my nose and my skin looked soft, smooth and matte.

After I had buffed in the foundation I went in with the Firming Age Revive Pressed Powder. Again, like the foundation I really liked this powder. It buffed easily over the foundation and did not look cakey on the skin. It set the foundation great creating a smooth matte texture.

Next, Im taking the Natural Ground Bronzer and Blush and apply these to my face. I dusted the bronzer on the sides of my face, forehead and jawline. I then dusted the blush on the apples of my cheeks. These products come in the packaging shown below, where you ground the product out by twisting the top.The actual products themselves i found to be not very pigmented. The bronzer was easier to get a bronzed effect however no matter how much blush i applied i could not really see it on the skin.

I'm now taking the Retractable Pencil in Black and running that along my top lash line and blending that out with a pencil brush. This is a very creamy eyeliner and is quite pigmented however I found it didn't last very long. After the eyeliner I went in with the Lash Extension Mascara, this was in the shade black and was the waterproof mascara. This was just an average mascara. It didn't do anything fantastic to my lashes, but did coat then nicely and make them nice and black.

To finish of the look I'm taking their Lipstick in the shade Lovers Smooth and applying that all over my lips! This is an amazing hot pink shade lipsticks. The formula was creamy and moisturising and felt really nice on the lips. It was also really pigmented which was great!

And that's the finished the look! I hope you like this simple makeup tutorial with a bold lip + mini review!

Overall, Im really impressed with some of these products! Their primer, foundation, powder and lipstick I feel are all worth checking out if your after a product that is affordable and does the job!
